eCommerce Meta Ads Buyer

Full-Time W-2 Position | Remote | $60,000-$80,000 Salary | Quarterly Bonuses

About You

You’re the media buyer who nerds out on Meta ads and actually understands why a new fall launch needs a completely different creative strategy than just reactivating warm audiences. You don’t just “run Meta ads” – you think strategically about how weekly new arrivals, seasonal buying cycles, and inventory dynamics should shape every campaign decision.

You’ve probably managed 10+ client accounts simultaneously without dropping a single ball, get unreasonably excited when you identify creative fatigue before performance tanks, and think a perfectly structured ad account is basically art. You’ve built testing roadmaps that actually drove results, caught performance issues using early indicators (not vanity metrics), and made strategic recommendations that clients actually implemented.

You love the balance of execution excellence and strategic thinking – you move fast but your work is clean, organized, and audit-ready.

Most importantly: You’re tired of being stuck with 3-4 clients where you’re just executing someone else’s strategy. You’re ready to independently own 10-15 retail accounts where you make real strategic decisions, build client relationships, and see the direct impact of your work on real retail businesses.

Bonus points if:

  • You can articulate the difference between fashion retail and DTC without hesitation
  • You’ve proactively told a client “that’s a bad idea, here’s why” (respectfully)
  • You get why “new arrivals every week” changes everything about creative strategy
  • You have a task management system that would impress a project manager
  • You understand that retail advertising is about sustainable growth, not just ROAS gambling
  • You have a mean GIF game to bring to our slack channel

About Us

We’re Capital Commerce and we’re not your typical “we run ads for anyone” agency. We have one focus: Meta advertising for boutique retailers—fashion stores, accessories shops, craft stores, and hobby-based retail brands that understand fast product cycles and weekly launches.

While other agencies are throwing generic DTC playbooks at retail clients, we’ve built our entire operation around the unique rhythms of retail. We understand new arrival cadences, inventory constraints, seasonal demand shifts, and how warm audiences behave differently for small-town retailers than for massive DTC brands.

Why this matters: When we succeed, independent retailers hire more people, serve more customers, and keep communities thriving. Plus, you get to work with clients who actually care about their products and customers (not just arbitrage schemes).

Our culture: We hold ourselves to high standards, celebrate excellence, work hard without the hustle worship, and genuinely care about our clients’ success. We’re the team that pushes back on bad client ideas (kindly), fixes problems before they escalate, and takes pride in delivering work that holds up under scrutiny.

What You’ll Own

Client Portfolio Management

You’ll independently manage 10-15 boutique retail clients with monthly ad budgets ranging from $20K-$100K+ each. This means:

  • Strategic Account Ownership: You’re the strategist these clients rely on for growth advice, not just ad execution
  • Performance Accountability: These are real businesses with real revenue goals – you own delivering results
  • Relationship Management: Weekly strategic updates, proactive communication, being the face of Catalyst
  • Creative Strategy Leadership: Planning testing roadmaps, requesting new creative with clear strategic direction

Your Week At A Glance

Monday kicks off with team alignment and a scan of all active accounts. Mid-week is deep execution mode: auditing performance, launching new ads for clients’ weekly product drops, and catching issues before they become problems. Thursday you’re proactively flagging anything that needs attention before the end of the week. Friday is reporting day, delivering weekly client updates that actually tell a story, not just a data dump. Woven throughout the month are client strategy calls where you’re showing up prepared, presenting recommendations, and deepening the relationships that keep accounts healthy long-term. Alongside all of this, you’re regularly delivering strategic guidance that goes beyond routine optimization, covering seasonal pivots, creative direction, and budget opportunities, so your clients feel like they have a genuine growth partner, not just someone logging into Ads Manager.

What Makes This Different from Other Agency Roles

More Autonomy: You make budget, creative, and strategy decisions independently within client goals. No micromanagement.

Retail Specialization: You’ll become an expert in boutique retail advertising – a genuinely valuable and differentiated skillset.

Real Relationships: You’re not just “the person who logs into Ads Manager” – you’re building actual strategic partnerships with clients.

Quality Standards: We’d rather you manage 10 clients excellently than 20 clients sloppily. Excellence matters here.

Strategic Growth: This isn’t a “stay in your lane” role. Prove you’re excellent and we’ll involve you in agency strategy, potentially team leadership, and bigger opportunities.

What We Need From You

The Non-Negotiables

  • 2-4+ years of experience running Meta ads for retail eCommerce.
  • Proven history of scaling Meta campaigns while maintaining efficiency
  • Strong analytical skills with attribution tools (Triple Whale, GA4, etc.)
  • Ability to manage 10–15 client ad accounts simultaneously
  • Exceptional operational accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience giving strategic direction for creative testing and asset development
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with client-facing experience

Preferred

  • Experience with apparel, boutique retail, and specialty retail
  • Agency experience
  • Understanding of retail inventory cycles and how they influence Meta performance
  • Familiarity with ASC methodology, creative fatigue patterns, and catalog ad performance nuances

Disqualifying Red Flags

We’re being transparent because we’ve learned what doesn’t work:

  • Need constant approval or validation for routine decisions
  • Disorganized execution (messy accounts, missed deadlines, inconsistent work)
  • Can’t articulate retail-specific advertising knowledge
  • Talk in high-level frameworks without tactical examples
  • Always blame external factors instead of owning outcomes

What You Get

The Opportunity

  • A role that actually matches your ambition. You’ll own a portfolio of 10–15 boutique retail clients and make real strategic decisions like budget, creative direction, and testing roadmaps without waiting for approval on every call. If you’re currently underleveraged, this is the role that changes that.

  • A niche worth owning. Boutique retail advertising is a genuinely differentiated skillset. One that’s underserved by most agencies throwing DTC playbooks at fashion clients. You’ll develop deep expertise that makes you more valuable year over year.

  • A team that takes this seriously. We push back on bad client ideas (kindly), fix problems before they escalate, and hold each other to high standards without the hustle-worship culture that burns people out.

  • A path, not just a job. Master this role and you’re first in line for team leadership, higher-value accounts, and involvement in agency strategy. We promote from within and build people up, not just fill seats.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $60,000–$80,000 base salary, commensurate with experience

  • Quarterly client retention bonuses – earn additional income tied directly to the accounts you build and keep

  • 401(k) with 50% employer match on up to 6% of your pay, beginning at 90 days

  • Monthly health insurance reimbursement — choose your own plan (QSEHRA)

  • Mental health care reimbursement — up to $600/year toward therapy, 100% private

  • 2 weeks PTO + 1 week sick leave, accrued annually

  • Observed paid holidays

  • Fully remote

Capital Commerce is an equal opportunity employer. We’re building a diverse team of people who are excellent at what they do, think strategically, and care about the work.

P.S. If you read this whole thing and thought “finally, a role where I can actually own something strategically,” you’re probably exactly who we’re looking for. If you thought “this sounds like a lot of responsibility,” we’re probably not the right fit – and that’s okay. Either way, we respect your time and appreciate you considering us.
